Dr. Christopher Dickes
Dentist
My name is Dr. Christopher Dickes: I graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2005. Directly following dental school, I served four years in the U.S Navy onboard the aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan, CVN 76. I was honorably discharged in 2009 and immediately began practicing dentistry in the metropolitan area of Dayton, OH while my wife was completing her medical school training. After spending two years in Dayton, my wife and I moved back to our home state of South Dakota where I worked for four years serving patients in South Dakota’s prison and its human services center. From there, I started my own private practice, which includes providing dental care in a hospital setting for those who struggle with conventional dental care. With the help and support of my family, staff, and dental health partners, I have been able to expand my services to Yankton, Sioux Falls, and the Huron area.
Dr. Kayla DeJong
Dentist
Dr. Kayla DeJong grew up in Watertown, SD, where she discovered her love of dentistry after taking a job shadowing class in high school. She attended the University of South Dakota for her undergraduate studies before moving to Omaha, NE, to attend the Creighton University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
In her free time, Dr. DeJong enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and cooking new recipes.
She looks forward to giving patients confidence in their smiles as well as providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages in the Sioux Falls and Mitchell communities.
Dr. Tate Barnhardt
Dentist
Dr. Tate Barnhardt was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mary where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. During his time at UMary, he also competed in wrestling for four years. His education continued at the Creighton University School of Dentistry where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
He and his fiancée, Patricia, are the new owners of an English Springer Spaniel named Atlas. He enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, golfing, coaching wrestling in Lennox, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Dr. Barnhardt is excited to be part of a great dental group and looks forward to showcasing his passion for dentistry in southeastern South Dakota!
